Zsombor Károlyi
Enthusiastic birdwatcher, bird ringer, and photographer from Västerås with extensive knowledge of the regional avifauna. Of Hungarian descent, with roots in the Hungarian plains.
Known as a well-informed and highly skilled birder with a special knack for finding birds. Appreciated for his optimism, social skills, and versatility in the field. Spanish-speaking and has combat experience from Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and Costa Rica. He leads trips for us to destinations including Morocco, India, Costa Rica, and West Papua.
Ola Jennersten
Ola is renowned for his many years at WWF Sweden, where he has worked on tiger conservation, acquiring vast knowledge about tigers and undertaking numerous trips to India. Few individuals know more about the situation of tigers, and even fewer can articulate it in such an educational manner.
Ola is also an ambassador for conservation and biodiversity, having authored several books, with his latest – ’Naturlycka’ – being selected as the Panda Book of the Year 2021. Additionally, Ola is a photographer and delivers numerous lectures annually on topics including illegal wildlife trade, tigers, pollination, and insect-friendly gardens.
Known for his expertise, humility, and amiability, Ola has previously led trips to both India and South America.
Simon Green
Passionate nature guide with a deep fascination for wildlife and birds. Thrives best in northern or even arctic environments and enjoys sharing his knowledge with guests. Holds a college degree in nature guiding and now educates young individuals aspiring to become nature guides themselves.
Simon can howl with wolves and elicit responses, knows how to survive a night in the wilderness, and can always start a fire without matches.
Daniel Green
Interested in birds since childhood, a bird ringer and guide based in Svartådalen. Equally passionate about butterflies, moths, bumblebees, and dragonflies as about birds. Driven by the joy of being in nature and sharing nature experiences with others.
Previous careers as a chef and journalist/photographer. Engaged in local conservation efforts and as the initiator of projects for, among others, the Peregrine Falcon and the Montagu’s Harrier.
Bengt Legnell
Experienced traveler and tour leader specializing in Asia and Indonesia. Active in bird conservation efforts with a particular focus on the Sand Martin. Bengt is known as a knowledgeable, humble, and friendly individual.
Magnus Martinsson
One of Sweden’s top bird and nature photographers who is always ready to share his photography expertise. Experienced birdwatcher, traveler, and tour leader. Has led our Alaska trip and leads tours to Varanger, Africa, the Seychelles, among other destinations.
Residing in Gotland and working at the County Administrative Board’s nature conservation unit, Magnus is a force in nature conservation. Known as a highly enthusiastic and focused tour leader.
