Dear Daniel!
We really enjoyed our time with you and would like to thank you for all you did for us. The birds we saw were wonderful and plentiful and the accomodation was excellent. We would hope to be back in Sweden again some time in the future.
Kind regards/ Mary Gaunt & Alastair Newman
Probably the best five days birding I've spent, with 136 species,
including 6 woodpeckers and great views of speciality owls, in glorious
and peaceful scenery, with friendly people and good food.
Cheap flights and easy access make this area of Sweden the best
undiscovered birding region in Scandinavia.

Hi Daniel,
Just a quick note to pass on our thanks from Mark, James, Marcus
and myself for a fantastic three days with you. The cottage by the
lake was indeed a wonderful base for our visit with the most tranquil
surroundings, wonderful views and superb variety of birds. Please
pass on our thanks to Elizabeth who cooked some exquisite meals
and proved a lovely host. Marcus rated her meatballs as highly as
his close encounter with the Capercaillie!!
Also many thanks to Mike and your two ringers for taking us to see
their special birds. I have attached one extra photo of one of the
Owls in the hand for you to pass on with our thanks.
Despite being very tired everyone was very excited about the success
of our trip - the bird favourites were hard to choose but Great-grey
Owl won it for Mark and myself, while Marcus and James enjoyed the
rogue Capercaillie's close approach. I hope you enjoyed our company,
despite the rather bad jokes – as much as we enjoyed yours.

Michael Buckland and friends.

I just wanted to thank you yet again for a memorable and very
successful trip to Svartadalen. Everyone was very impressed.
We will write it up and if anything is going forward to any magazines
then we will let you see it first to ensure you are happy with
it re. the naming of any locations .We do agree with the sensitivity
of some sites and would
not do anything to damage that.
We had a good day with Nickolas with the Eagle Owls and Caper
being particularly good.
On Monday on the way home we twitched a Stilt Sandpiper and a
Great Reed Warbler and bumped into Rebecca Nason at the latter
- birding is a small world.
The last bird I saw before getting home was a Little Owl which
rounded off the trip list of Owls very nicely.
Best Wishes, Tony Armstrong
Daniel
Just a short note to say thanks for the recent trip we had to
Sweden. We all had a fantastic time, saw some great birds and
your company was excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending
you to friends here in the U.K., in fact several expressed interest
in coming in future years. I would very much like to come again
also, and i will keep in touch to see when such species as Siberian
Tit and Jay, Hawk and Tengmalm's Owl are available.
